Right, so... let's get the bad news out of the way first.

As many of you know, I haven't updated SCII in over a year. I know a lot of you love the story and are pushing for me to write more of it, and I've gotten a lot of recent comments to that effect. Some have been polite, some passive-aggressive, and some downright combative, but given the sheer number of comics I can't help but be aware of how much everyone is pushing for a continuation.

Sadly... that's probably not going to happen soon.

I AM NOT CANCELLING STORM CLOUDS II. I have put a lot of effort into that project over the years, and I've had a lot of fun writing it as well. There is no way I'm going to cancel it! However, as some of you may know, I am currently in graduate school--a creative writing program, to be exact. Those of you who have already experienced graduate school know this, but the workload is unreal. There are tons of high-level, dense books I have to read in extremely short periods of time, and that's not counting constant pages of writing I have due every week.

To compound matters, I have a new job writing articles for an online video game website--gameru.com. It's a good job and I enjoy it, but I have an article due every weekday, no matter what, on top of all my work from school.

Between the articles and the heavy school workload, I hope all of you can understand how swamped I am--and why, when I get free time, I really don't want to write more. I am writing constantly for school and work at the moment, and it's extremely exhausting. Any fanfic I wrote right now wouldn't have the heart it usually does because I am just too exhausted writing-wise to give it the attention it deserves. Until my life calms down, I simply cannot give SCII the attention it needs. I know that's upsetting to a lot of you, but please understand that I am a human being who is under a lot of pressure right now. I'm sorry.

THAT BEING SAID, I've been using what little free time I have lately to nuzlocke. I've been having a blast playing, and as some of you know I've started making a little journal dedicated to my adventure. I've had so much fun doing this that I thought I'd share it. Since I have a visual arts skill level of -10, I've been recording the adventure as text instead. I've been uploading them as journals rather than deviations because they're mostly humorous rants/play-by-plays, but if they get popular enough I might start uploading them as deviations (probably composites, because individual entries are going to be quite short. Perhaps each deviation will cover up to a gym badge?)

Because these nuzlocke entries are off-the-cuff descriptions rather than carefully pieced together chapters, and because they don't undergo regular pre-reading and tweaking and editing, I can churn these out pretty quickly. You'll probably get two or three entries a week.

I know this isn't what a lot of you want, but I hope it can at least help tide you over and ease the sense that I've abandoned you. If you're interested, the previous two journals are the intro and first entry for this project, and the second entry will be uploading tomorrow. Please give them a peek if you're interested, and as always, don't be afraid to leave feedback!

Thanks for your understanding.

I'm really glad to hear this. I started reading SCI either yesterday or the day before that.
The early chapters were so good that I just finished the most recent chapter.
I'm glad to hear that the series isn't dead, and I will wait however long I need to until the next chapter is out. Take your time, and have a watch.
Also, for making you Nuzlocke journals deviations, I would recommend putting them in a scraps. That way, the people that don't want their inboxes to be flooded with Nuzlocke updates can simply choose to not have them show up.
